UAE has implemented VAT with effect from 1st January 2018 and ICAI through its Dubai Chapter has been organising faculty identification programme, planning certificate courses and seminars, etc., for the benefit of our members and other stakeholders from UAE. This will be a precursor to the rollout of VAT in other countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
VAT in UAE is akin to GST implementation in India in terms of new avenues and opportunity for professionals to prove themselves as caretakers of the financial health of the country.
ICAI, marking its global presence, through its Middle East Chapters by launching courses, seminars etc. to help the members as well as stakeholders of UAE for necessary knowledge dissemination and awareness.
The Indirect Taxes Committee of ICAI has also come up with E-learning on UAE VAT through recorded video sessions covering almost the entire topics of UAE VAT, which are available on its website viz. www.idtc.icai.org to provide the users a well-set platform for learning and gaining knowledge on VAT in UAE.

Background Material on UAE–VAT Federal Decree Law (No. 8) 2017, Background Material on GST Acts and Rules (5th revised edition) and FAQ’s and MCQ’s on GST (3rd revised edition) have been duly revised.
