National Summit on “Transparency and Accountability in Government Financial Management”

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) through its Committee on Public Finance and Accounting Standards for Local Bodies is organizing two day National Summit on “Transparency and Accountability in Government Financial Management” on 11th-12th October, 2019 at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi.

The two day national seminar was inaugurated today by Chief Guest Smt. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Hon'ble Minister of State for Rural Development, Government of India in presence of CA. Atul Kumar Gupta, Vice-President, ICAI; CA Dhiraj Kumar Khandelwal, Chairman & CA Sanjeev Kumar Singhal, Vice-Chairman, CPF&ASLB, ICAI and other Central Council Members of ICAI.

The Two day seminar will consist of technical sessions & panel discussion on topics like General awareness about Accrual Accounting reforms and latest Accounting developments in Government Sector, Awareness about the quality & transparency in financial reporting across the globe, Role of digitech & professionals in reforms, Future of Cash based Accounting and more.

The Summit will bring together Government officials, officials of Urban Local Bodies, professionals, academicians and researchers from across the country engaged in the field of accounting and reforms thereof in Government accounting. More than one thousand participants are likely to participate in the two day national Seminar.
