The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) under the aegis of Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA),) is conducting Investor Awareness Programs through its Committee on Capital Market and Investors Protection. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs had appointed ICAI as the nodal agency to conduct Investor Awareness Programmes across the country. The purpose of such programme was to enhance the ability of investors to understand broad developmental issues in the country having bearing on the corporate sector and the capital market as well as to educate the investors’ on their rights and responsibilities and to make investors’ aware of grievances handling mechanism and different agencies to be approached for redressal.
So far, ICAI has organized approximately 6270 programmes across India. This year too, ICAI through its Committee on Capital Market and Investors Protection intends to organise many IAP’s on nationwide basis. In this regard, ICAI is inviting proposals from members of ICAI, Retired ICLS officers, Teachers, Professors, Lecturers (Commerce / Economics) having knowledge and flair of capital market and public speaking skills for acting as Resource Persons to conduct Investor Awareness Programs.
