Monday, April 1, 2019

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently invited an expression of interest (EOI) from the software companies over designing new software for Chartered Accountancy firms and practitioners. The Committee for Capacity Building of Members in Practice (CCBMP) of ICAI has asked the software companies to send in the EOI by May 31, 2019. The aim of the project is to encourage and enhance close links between the Institute and the Chartered Accountants, and to provide them with a base of reference in terms of knowledge, expertise, skills and assistance in their professional growth, simultaneously pursuing the goal of providing newer opportunities to the practitioners & CA Firms.

The interested software companies would need to have appropriate knowledge in various aspects of Chartered Accountancy, other relented subjects and are also expected to have an appropriate level of practical experience in the relevant area along with the knowledge of various aspects of the CA profession. The software company would also have to provide a free of cost training for all users of the software..

Any member registered with the ICAI would be eligible to get a copy of this software for free and the software would be available at all Information Technology Training Centers of ICAI. The selected software company would then need to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICAI to release the required software.
